A Love By Any Measure by Killian McRae

My rating: 4 of 5 stars.

A love by any measure is a historical romance book that follows the love story of Lord August Grayson and Maeve O’Connor that is set in Ireland in the 1800’s. I really enjoyed this book and was drawn to it because I have a particular interest in Ireland, so it was interesting to see some of the history and how life was in that time in the country. The story draws you in from the beginning. You want to keep reading to understand what really happened to these crossed lovers who were separated by society, customs and life itself.  Also, the relationship between Grayson and Maeve is full of ups and downs, and you really want to know what brings them together after everything they have suffered in their own lives. They are complicated and platonic, but at the same time you can feel how much they really love each other even when they try to fight against it.
As the story goes, it takes you to a situation that at least I didn't expect until I was on it, and I really enjoyed the little surprises and twists that this book kept showing me. The only thing that  bothered me was that sometimes the narrative was a bit fast and I felt it jumped to another side of the story too quickly, and the point of view of the characters changed within a paragraph and that confused me because I lost track of who was narrating.  Other than that, it is a really good story. I really recommend it to everyone that likes love stories as I do. I hope you give it a chance and enjoy the story of August and Maeve.
